Default Single cab vs. Ext. cab

There's always a big commotion about the weight difference between reg cab and ext cab. I always heard it was 500 pounds. Anyone know the real answer?

Damn that's heavy. Mine weighed 4,060 with no tailgate, spare tire, 1/4 tank of gas, and me in it.
