Slack in motor
fixin to stick my trans back in with the stock veter just to see if its that tb converter..and on my crank i can turn it bout an 1/8-1/4 in back and forth...should it have this much slack??

Depending on where in the rotation you are it should be ok. Rotate the engine 1/4 turn and see if it is still there. It is probable the slack in your timing chain that you are feeling.

okay...get a jug of water. fill each cylinder with water. actually you should add some oil to the water and shake the jug real hard (there is a silly rumor going around that water alone in the cylinders is bad or something stupid like that). Okay now fill the cylinders with the oily water mix and then turn the motor a 1/4". As long as one of the cylinders squirts some water back out, you'll be fine, bolt that **** back together. If nothing happens, replace that timing chain.(and tighten your rod bolts!)
I mailed those pics to you btw, still haven't seen my controller!!!
