slicks on all 4 corners
just talked to a guy at m&h tires. they have some 28" tall drag radials coming to the market soon. he was really talking them up. saying they are going to stick better than the bfg's + MT drag radials and somehow at the same time be prety durable. they are not out just yet and i really dont want to run a tire that short.
he started talking about their cheater slick. he was telling me many people run them on all 4 corners and in a strait line they are very stable. told me to run more presure in the front and thats about it. http://www.intercotire.com/html/cheater_slicks.htm
i think i will try a set of the 30/14.0/16 on some stock wheels. i know they are skinny rims for that tire but i am going to try it anyways. i think the track is open another month. with some luck i will get them by then.

i am trying to figure out their sizing. with a 10.5" tread width most places have that as a 12.5" tire.
since i am thinking this as a track/serious street race only deal maybe i will just try some 28/11.50/16's or wait for the DR's. , i just can't find a set up that makes me happy.

the would stick out a lot. the extra 3" would have to be all out. then i would have non stock rims too. i like the stock rim look. and the cost. spare set of stock wheels is almost free. a set of 4 new 16x10" rims will probably be $600.

Just out of curiousity why are you so against a 28 inch tall tire. I think that with the '80e the shorter tire would be beneficial. I know if I keep this truck, I am going back to 28's

i put 29" tires on my last truck and never liked the way the looked. i am trying not to do something fugly, 28" tire would be even worse. i will do it if all else fails and treat it as a track only set up but i would rather come up with some kind of stock wheel/30" tall DR set up.
