Default Slow antifreeze leak

I've got a small antifreeze leak that I'm not positive where it's coming from. I smell it everytime I park the truck. I found antifreeze on the spark plug wire on the passenger side, closest to the firewall. I did a search and alot of people seem to have a problem with the water pump gaskets, but I don't think the antifreeze could travel all that way without leaving a trail on something else. Only place I see it is on the spark plug wire and that primary for that cylinder. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Pressure test your cooling system.

ive had experience with almost every brand of vehicle ive worked on where the coolant reservoir will develop cracks. when the system heats up, it bleeds out. but then again i do live in extreme conditions, 110 + consistently in the summer.

It may be blowing to the back of the engine from the waterpump in the front. That is the culprit on many early model trucks, mine was one of them too.

it does sound like maybe a small hole in the resivoir and then when it heats up it will pressurize and shoot out and on the plug wire? That would be a freak accident I think tho.

I wasn't sure if it would be a head gasket. I am going to be swapping out my headers, so I thought if that were the case, I'd change those. I'll have to check out those things. Thanks for the help.

if it was a head gasket more than likely youd have white smoke billowing out the tailpipe.

Heater Hoses The fittings at the firewall are FAMOUS for leaking as well.
You might as well replace BOTH.

I had the same problem. There is a tube that runs between the heads under the intake. Mine had a crack on one of the welds.
