ok does anybody any good info on the slp 402. like what heads did they use to get the 11.3:1 compression can i use my 4.8 heads or would it make the cr too high. more ?'s to come just wanna make sure someone has some good info on it first.

 

Call Tom at Tbyrne{ sponser to the right} and he can answer your question. I am sure it is with a 5.7 head if I were betting.

 

Basically the same thing you're asking, but I'd ask for the combustion chamber size for the compression ratio they are getting. I think some LS6 heads on that motor with the chambers opened up to match the bore would be nice.

 

maybe it's just me, but i'd think it's worth calling slp (with much better customer service) and asking them.

 

i think i'll do that today.

 

slp told me that the low CR kit w/ thier ls6 head and cam pack wil;l make about 9.0:1 CR. thinking about one of those w/ AFR 225cc cnc ported race heads and an LPE blower cam and swapping over the magnacharger off my 5.3. think i'll need bigger injector and a custom tune tho.

 

A good chance bigger injectors will be needed. Not sure how much you'll like the Radix on it.

 

I know a guy with a 03' SS and he is doing the SLP 402 and he is gonna use true
LS1 heads after he gets the stage 2 job done one them!
