I remember a while back about Pace Performance Parts (cant remember the exact name, something like that) had recalibrated LS6 MAF's for sale. I'm sure they still do

No. It doesn't have the IAT built into it like the truck MAF has.

with the ammount of air our engines are sucking and the ammount of air our MAF can support, an aftermarket MAF would be one of the last things i would spend money on.

aren't the ls6 MAF's the same as ours? or am i wrong?

The SLP maf is calibrated for the ls1 and includes the 5 to 3 wire adapter. I'm not sure if they make one for the ls6.

I was under the impression that SLP's MAF was just the MAF from the 6.0 truck engine, if this is the case then why would it not fit a 4.8?

Well I talked to Pace Performance and they said that the trucks use the same one the ZO6 use's.
It has the IAT sensor built into it. So I ordered me a new MAF with the IAT sensor for around $75.00
