Just curious if anyone has ever installed an SLP loudmouth muffler on a 99-up 4.8L or 5.3L truck? What does it sound like? Do you guys think it would sound good? just wondering

I believe Illnali had a loud mouth resonator on his old truck, he could probably tell you what it sounds like.

He did. I had the SLP loudmouth on my truck with no cats. It really lived up to its name so I sold it to him. It sounded good on his truck because he had cats. So if you get it leave your cats on.

I can tell you this-I had loudmouth on my camaro with hookers and off road y and it was raspy but i loved it and sounded mean as hell with my X1 cam!! Never heard on a truck but by the end of this week i will have a similar setup with dual bullet mufflers but the bullets are a lil quieter than the loudmouth is. I personally think it sounds better with bullets-its a deeper throatier sound IMO!!!! Just my.02 worth.

is this what they look like? seems close to a bullet. I have heard a few camaro and tz's with them and they sound good with cats but sounded liek a "tractor" with out them, kind of poped and I jsut didn't like the sound JMO.
