Default so how much lift....

how much lift can 706 heads flow with? the tr224 i have is 5.63 but the guy at thunder said i could come in and swap the cam and he will spec me out a new one like a 215/230 with a .629/.592, any ideas? thanks.

Your going to need to post up more information if you want an answer. Has any work been done to the heads? What size engine? Stock bore?

5.3 going to have shaved and ported heads, shaved .35 patriot extreme springs, stock bore, thanks

well a stock 706 head will flow near the 220 range on the intake side in the upper .500 inches of lift. but each flow bench will read a little different. after .500 they really dont gain much in stock forum. may be a few cfm but if you just clean the bowl area up properly you can gain nearly 40 cfm. you dont start to see the difference untill around .300.

The best thing to do would be to have the heads ported first and then flowed to get the best cam for your application.
