I'll probably run 918's when I do mine. there are a bunch out there that will work.

+1 on dowel rods and its quicker to use the TDC method for changing springs. I highly recommend the LS valve spring tool by procomp.
The head gasket kit was probably recommended because you were planning on changing lifters which would require head removal.
There are cheaper pushrods to be had; I wanna say I picked mine up at SDPC for $90 shipped.

How about cam gear? Is new cam single or 3 bolt? This almost put a hamper on my weekend cam swap... I about had a heart attack then raced to dealership.

and x3 on the dowels, a good fail safe and piece of mind. Cut 'em to length and lube em up.

i was gonna do the TDC way originally but cam across someone having one of these fitting and it just sounded cool i guess lol... was gonna give it a shot... but saves money not to i guess and if its faster this way then im game...

this im not sure about... i need to find out... i THINK that comp cam cuts all there cams in one or the other... but i have researched to see what i have stock yet... and for sure which comp cams comes with... but my plans are to pull it apart starting a friday and back together for work my monday... so i gotta get EVERYTHING... lol... Its my only ride... lol...

Any dealer should have them relatively cheap part.
