Default So i think i have a bad ring

So here are the symptoms:

obvious loss of power and some stumbling under 2k rpm.
loud rpm dependant clicking when i stall it up anyhting over 1300 rpms.
steady puff puff puff of crank case gas coming out of the dip stick and breather ports.
strong smell of gas in BRAND new synthetic oil (10-40 amsoil with 70 mi)
and 30 psi lower compression test than all the other cylinders. 150 vs 180 (5 rotations)

what do you guys think?

Sounds highly probable. Ring or piston. Only other thing I could think of would be leaky injector, flooding/washing the cylinder.

That sounds a lot like my symptoms. I just don't have the puff of smoke or the smell of gas. My #'s were #7 120psi and the rest was 180-200psi. So, I am already building me a 6.0. Hopefully it will be done in a month or so.

Number 7 piston is a notorious breaker especially for us FI guys. I wouldn't be suprised if that's your problem.
