TR224 in a 5.3? Hell yea It'll lope good either on a 114 or a 112...of course the 112 will chop more

I'm sure it'll sound mean...If I were going that route I'd do at least 4.10's though...

I don't think that it will be that big of a dog, but 4.10's or even 4.30's seem better matched to the powerband of the cam IMO. But with the 3600 converter that you're planning, you should be able to offset a sluggish bottom end...since you mentioned a lot of highway miles, the 3.73's and 3600 converter may combine to give you the best of both worlds...

I'm sure that others will chime in and tell you not to bother going from 3.42's to 3.73's...

Honestly I'm not sure, but I've seen it before, I guess some guys feel that it's not enough bang for the buck ...I've also read of folks recommending against jumping from 3.73 to 4.10's (which is what I'd like to do but that definitely won't happen for a long...long time lol)
