Default Softening the 1-2 shift

Hey everyone. As of right now I have the billet servos and a transgo shift kit. I have no washers in the accumulator and my 1-2 shift is just way too rough. It barks tires at hardly any throttle. I got a new separator plate since I drilled the 1-2 feed hole out to what the kit recommended, which is too large from what I understand (i'm not going to drill the new one out at all). Should I put the original accumulator springs back in or are there other ways to soften the 1-2 shift?

What did you drill the 2nd feed orifice to? What stall converter are you running?

With a stock converter and a "Corvette" Servo, TransGo's reccomended .082" would need one washer to be "firm".
What color accumulator valve spring did you use, red or white?

I drilled to .082. It's the stock converter. I used the white spring since I put the billet servos in. Wouldn't putting a washer in make it even harder when shifting?

TeamTripp-

Is the white spring the one that would 'soften' the 1-2 shift? I have the exact same condition (with the same install). I was thinking of swapping the billet servo for the 'Corvette' servo in an attempt to head back towards a softer shift, but if I can just replace the red accumulator spring with the white one to get the same effect, then that's what I will do.

if it didn't break anything yet it can't be too hard. the best way is to put more stall into it.

I would say a vette servo too. I have the same problem, well a little annoyance but I like it. Mine is more so about 1/2 throttle or more it will bark the tires. Thats gonna change soon though. Soon to be in the classifieds

I have a TransGo, Corvette servo and a 2600 stall and mine shifts real hard too! I had to use edit to soften the 1-2 shift.
