Smile Some GTech Pro Timer results

So, with the truck and mods in my sig I went out and ran a few passes on a G-tech Pro SS timer. This thing is pretty cool, here are the numbers (I know it's not track times and radar guns but the unit seems to be pretty accurate) 3 run average for 0 to 60 and only one pass 1/4 mile (I didn't have a real good spot to open it up for that long)

0-60 6.79sec (6.69 best)

1/4 mile 15.25@ 88.7mph
60ft 2.33

I'm real happy w/ the 0-60 number, I was hoping for 14's, (Shifting at 5K, & I think the converter is locking to soon in 3rd and killing the top speed, I'm pretty sure 14's are do able.

It also logs data and graphs it, it's a cool little toy.

You're only shifting at 5K? Isn't stock like 5500?

I was looking at the G-Tech when it shifted 2-3 to get that number so maybe it is off a little. 5500 seems right, it's set to stock. I may have to send the PCM out one more time because the tranny won't downshift out of overdrive if I am going more than 65mph and floor it. If I do send it back I am going to have the WOT shifts raised too, waiting to get a dyno run and wide band to see if there is anything else that needs tweaking. It's still pulling hard when it shifts now. For my purposes the performance is fine but it would be nice to have all she's got available.

My shifts are set at 6000. Higher shifts definately help with the procharger.

Be sure to have the WOT TC lockup removed. That helps with the procharger too.

P1 stock pully (not sure on size)
ATI intercooler

Noticed your running 11psi is that w/ just an intercooler? How much faster can the P1 spin?

I'm sure a converter would help the 60ft but I gotta tow 8,000lbs.

I run a 3.6" pulley. The one they sent with my 5.3 kit was 4". The P1 can spin alot faster, but the limiting factor for the truck kit is belt size. The smallest you can buy is the size for the 3.6" pulley. I have a 3.4 pulley coming, but I'm also having bigger idlers machined to make up for the belt slack.

So are you having any detonation issues w/ the 11psi pulley? If I can just slap a smaller pulley on and get a retune I will do it for sure, I am just worried that the little 2 core Procharger intercooler won't cut it.

I noticed that ATI has an 11psi kit for the Hummer 6.0 but that is the HO engine and 3 core intercooler.

No detonation unless I turn timing up to above 18 degrees. With the same pulley and the smaller intercooler It could only handle 16 degrees. I gained 5 tenths and 4 mph with just the intercooler change. The ATI intercooler is extremely undersized!
