Default Some rough numbers for my new setup

Went and did some HPT logging tonight, 95 deg ambient. I did a full-on 4wd stalled start like I will do at the track, wanted to post up some numbers and see if anyone can throw out some 1/4 estimates. I got the stock converter to stall to almost 2200 rpm. Also, in this run I was at full street trim (and a full tank of gas). For the track I will be losing the spare, tailgate, tools, and two speaker boxes, I figure that should save me 200-250 lbs. Anyway, here they are:

0-60: 5.878 sec
0-95: 13.199 sec
0-100: 15.920 sec
0-120: 25.426 sec

Using my old best of 14.38 @ 95, I am guessing that this logged run would put me somewhere in the range of 13.6 @ 97 or so. What do you guys think? How much time will a 200lb decrease shave off?

Hmmm now that I am looking at those numbers again, it doesn't seem right that it took me 2.8 seconds to go from 95-100, and then only 10 sec to go from 100-120. Weird.

Anyway, the HPT log shows:
0 mph 10:01:866
30 mph 10:04:329 - 2.463
60 mph 10:07:744 - 5.878
90 mph 10:13:352 - 11.486
95 mph 10:15:065 - 13.199
100 mph 10:16:857 - 14.991
105 mph 10:18:820 - 16.954
110 mph 10:21:033 - 19.167
115 mph 10:23:777 - 21.911
120 mph 10:26:992 - 25.126

I think I messed up some numbers in the first post. Anyone know how accurate the timer in HPT is? A 0-95 run of 13.199 is a hell of a lot better then the 14.38 from before, but it seems like too much of an increase.

i put up a post similar to this and got mixed reactions/opinions. Basically, the hpt timer can be approximatly accurate by a couple tenths. But guessing a 1/4 mile time is hard. Do you have a baseline for a 1/4 run that you logged with hpt that you can compare this and your time slip to? and then make a better guess?

The faster you go, the longer it will take to gain the same mph as it did when you were going slower. Does that make sense? The main reason behind that is our trucks have aerodynamics that of a barn door. And the force due to drag goes up exponentially, it's not linear at all.

As for 200lbs, in the 13's, I'd say that's good for about 2 tenths.

Yeah that makes sense. I guess it's pointless to ask for estimates, I'll be headed to the track tomorrow night and have some real numbers.

I think you should have a low 13 second truck since all the mods.
