Hey Fred, i thought that was with old spring batches, but reading up on this more through pt and ls1 tech there seems to be no real solid conclusion on what 918's are good and what aren't.. At this point i was worried enough to call summit back and cancel the springs locks and retainers.. Ordered a set of Patriot gold duals, complete with new seals, titanium retainers, and locks for actually less than what the 918's ran me. So, thanks for bringing that to my attention anyway, should have a little better piece of mind with a dual spring now, too many ugly pictures, none i want to be taking for sure.

Yeah dont waste your money on the Comp 918s. Blew my engine because of them all breaking along the top coil.

So i got bored/anxious... Parts are at least a week away. Pulled the oil pan off the old engine and cleaned it up a bit, at which point i decided to change the texture... A couple hours later this is where i got. I also pulled the stock cam out. Its really handy having the engine on a stand, no need for lifter tools or worrying about them falling, just swap cams with the engine upside down!

The latest. Some parts showed up, so i went to work. Pinned the crank pulley, installed the flexplate.
