Default Spark Plug and Wire Incident

Ok so this just happened to me about an hour ago....I was at a stop light when suddenly the truck starts to make funny noises and the rpm is going up and down from like 450rpm to 600rpm (wtf)...I get to my apartment and check out what is going on with the engine, I hear one of the spark plugs firing and at the same time makes the engine shake a little, i turn off the engine and check to see if the wires a hooked up all the way...turns out one of the wires is not hooked up all the way into the plug. The plug fires, but theres no conduction of electricity due to poor contact between the wire and the plug...I check the plug and see that it's totally charred on top, i plug the wire in and turn on the truck...back to normal...so, in light of this incident, i think it's time to change out the wires and plugs...what do you guys think?? if i have to change them...what type of plugs and what type of wires??? i was thinking NGK-TR55 plugs with MSD wires....any comments and suggestions are welcome...

Thanks

J

TR-55's and MSD's sound good. I had problems with my MSD's but I think it was a freak thing. I went back with stock wires.

sounds like you have a plan, or at least the excuse sounds good when someone asks you why you are pulling plugs on a 2004 truck

Thats what happens when you dont have enough bass...

Do a search to see if the MSD wires work with the ASM LT headers. If they fit, MSD wires and NGK 55s work great.

I got some Crane Fireball wires from Summitracing.com. They are $39 and supposed to have a less resistance than the MSD.
