Spark plug wire question
Probbaly covered here somewhere but I cant find it I need a set of wires a couple inches longer then LS1 car wires (~8" overall) and when I look at the listings for truck wires they ask if it has 1st design or 2nd design coils. It looks like the wire length is longer for the 1st design coils and shorter for 2nd design - just want to make sure I get the longer ones.
If anyone happens to have a set of fairly low mile OE longer wires with the metal boots (if they use them on trucks) on the plug end I need a set if someone has some laying around. Chasing down some RFI problems with the plug wires I have now and prefer to have an OE set if I can find them.
Thanks,
Kevin

pretty sure i threw mine away, but i'll look. if you don't hear back, i didn't find them. i know there is a difference between the car and truck wire length, but i don't know anything about any different coils.

there are two types of coils that are used. there is a square coil that is used that requires the longer truck wires. >>pic>>>

and then there is a round coil with a small heat sink that uses a shorter wire. hope this helps.
