i just installed a spectre intake in my 08 silverado lastnight. its sounds and looks awesome.. its pretty much the exact same thing as a k&n its washable and its made out of the same material and it has a lifetime warrenty. the only difference between the two is the price by a long shot!!

I'm glad you like it and the price worked for you, but I have used both and while it may appear to be the same quality as the K&N, IMO it is not. Thats not to say its not a good intake, it is and for the price its hard to beat, but the materials are alot thinner, the filter is thinner, and I have even had the metal pipe crack with the spectre intake. I have used about four or five of them on different vehicles simple because of the price, but IMO they are not built as tough as the K&N.

i must say there not made the same as the k&N but for the price and if you wanna get a bit creative just buy a k&n cone ! but the spectre does have a 4' tube in comparesent with the 3' tube and when you get it dyno it does flow better ! when i got my truck dyno tuned my cuzn and i went with both of our truck , he has a full k&N and a have a spectre with a k&N cone ! nedless to say we swap them around when mine was on the dyno and the k&n was flowing less air then the spectre ! and we did vise versa with my cuzns truck and we got the same resolts!
