I plan on doing the same thing, I have an 8 footer as well. Looking at the Speed Eng. website it looks like the;
Silverado & Sierra True Dual Exhaust System 1999-2006 (Crew & Extra Cab)
would be best for our application. Cut & trim as needed to fit.

I don't know what clamps Speed Eng are using but I found some I like very much from a Company called Mandrel Bending Solutions.

Formed Clamp - Mandrel Bending Solutions

A 3" clamp that forms to both sides of the connection. One side is 3" and the other is an expanded 3". Have these on my '02 Camaro SS, no leaks, works great.

Non existent. Its actually pretty mellow and not really noticeable at cruzing. its a little at 1300-1500 rpms but im hardly in that rang for long and its not loud anyways.

Drone never bothered me anyways.

I dont think those will work. with this slip joint you need to "crush" it to seal it. it has relief cuts in the end on the pipe so it'll clamp it harder.

i had those style clamps on my old set up, worked okay. but the pipe was ment for those clamps. you need to use the style it comes with.

Sounds good, did you notice any power differences according to the butt dyno?

Actually, yeah. Definitely feels like it picked up some in the mid range. I can tell the tune needs a little tweaking like I thought it would.

But over all, feels great.

Thanks for the comments and video..

We actually have local shop that just picked up our 1 7/8" longtubes, and true dual exhaust to be installed on a 07-13 5.3L truck. The truck is completely stock with a Flowmaster muffler and Whipple. I will post up the base run, and final run after the exhaust is installed. Looking forward to seeing the gains. Our guess going in is it picks up at least 40+rwhp.

That sounds great. Looks awesome.

Can anyone confirm if this would fit a NNBS SUV/Tahoe?
