Oh, no we never completely installed the prototype. There were too many misc issues needed to be addressed. We verified the rear piping fitment was correct, and the muffler hanger points etc. However the over the axle tubing would not slide into the mufflers.

Thanks
Sean

Just curious here, would you say dual 3" is overkill for a 5.3 with headers and a small cam?

I like the idea of buying this exhaust system, but I'm thinking it may be too much, I am currently running 3.5" dmax exhaust piping

The 3"is great for a 5.3 especially with the h pipe crossover. However a dyno tune will net the most ponies out of this set up. I will post my dyno after I recover from Christmas. I have the headers installed still have not mounted my "true duals kit".

Sean will this kit be able to be adjusted and or sold as seprates kits to where the tailpipes that you are producing will bolt up to the current kit you sell by removing the turndowns and replacing them in a scenario where some customers would like the more agressive mufflers that come with the current kit that you sell. If I read right and the new kit was coming with bigger more tamed mufflers.

Amedee: Yes, we saw horsepower and torque all increase across the board over a single exhaust from 2800+ RPM.

Yes, so our X-Pipe and connection pipes will remain the same, and we will offer the muffler back systems on both the dump and rear exit separately for those looking to switch them out. The dump will have the smaller mufflers, and the rear exit will have the larger mufflers.

Thanks
Sean

I will probably hold out and wait for this kit to come up for sale then. I like the sound of true duals and x pipe much better than my single kit, which has a redneck sound to it right now. Just want to make sure its not too much pipe surface area since the video posted above it testing a 454, which obviously flows much more than my 5.3 does.

Yes, we just got an update yesterday afternoon actually. The pictures the factory sent us were good enough to verify changes, and a batch was ordered. ETA should be 3-4 months for our first rear exit batch to arrive.

Thanks
Sean
