Spindles do not change your factory suspension travel. They will offer the most "stock like" ride.
Coil springs are the cheap route they are stiffer and the ride usually sucks with them.
Your truck will either have a torsion bar setup or a coil spring setup. You can't do both. If you are unsure, look behind your front wheels and see if there a coil spring. If not look to see if there are bars running from under the cab to the control arm.
Hands down I would do spindles. I've been through 3 sets of coil springs, 2 sets of control arms and one set of spindles. I'm currently running spindles and springs and the ride was much better than control arms and springs.
