Default spintech rant

well I went to thunder racing for a tune and waitng i was talking to a guy that told me spintech flowed horrible. he said they dyno'ed a moderately modded z28 with the spintech then a magnaflow and there was almost a 40hp difference. It's hard to believe but after looking thru a spintech it could be possible.

has anyone heard any other negatives about these exhaust cause the buzz on this site(the buzz i bought in to) was that they were real good exhaust.

At least it sounds great

I heard they were shitty from a local performance shop here. Had them on a SS They dynoed and they said they picked up a good bit of power when they swapped the spintechs for the SLP catback.

But then i heard they were good on here so i dont know. Never ran them myself.

I like how the spintec sounds too, but I think it is a little restricted...I haven't seen one through the inside though.
The guy from La Charcoal had the magnaflow at first and switched to the spintec. If I remember correct I think he told me that he felt it better with the magnaflow.....I also liked how the magna sounded on his truck, I don't know why but it had a high pitched sound..kind of like a trans am.

they will not flow as good as a magnaflow becouse spintech are not a straight thru. there more of a modded baffle desine.
but they will out flow flowmasters by about 60%....but they sure sound
