Which springs, retainers, and pushrods?

The 918 springs are excellent, but can contribute to valvetrain noise that seems to bother some people. In spite of how sensitive I am to noise, I am fine with my 918's. If you want something quieter (and perhaps nearly as good), get GM LS6 springs, which are good to over .550 (some say .600).

yeah my fuel injectors are louder than my 918s. i started to use the stock retainers with the 918s until i called comp and then seeing how much larger the ID of the 918 was compared to the OD of the stock retainer. too much slop for me. $60 for the comp steel retainers is cheap insurance.
