Default Stainless brake lines!!!

Classic Tube makes them $40ea. DOT legal too. I am gonna get a rubber set off a wrecked truck and send them in so they will have a master set. So for $160 I will be able to finally stop.

Good news for all the lifted guys and street guys too!

There are 5 on the truck. I just checked it out! Maybe I could do a group purchase to get the price down...

I can't say how much faster exactly but, I'd figure a nice difference. The Earls ones for my F-150 claimed about 20-40' if I remember. Even greater from higher speeds. I don't have them on yet as I HATE working with brakes. They will go on when it goes in for the Eaton/4.10:1's/Gridle

A buddy of mine has a nice VW GTI with crossdrilled rotors and stainless lines and it stops great! Much better than it did stock.

Much better pedal feel (non mush), no swelling under load, and they will never crack.

I think I will have to buy all 5 from a GM dealer, send the ones to Classic Tube, get the rubber ones back again, and return them and say something to the extent of "turns out I don't need these"

I don't remember the post, but on the Pacific-audio forum, one guy drained all the GM fluid out and replaced it with a different type. Apparentyl the other fluid has a different density and compression properties, whatever. He said it was a night and day difference. He says his brakes are now firm and responsive. Same pads and rotors, only different fluid. Somoone look it up, do the swap, and tell us the results.

$40 each seems kind of high, but might be worth it for firmer stops. Might only need three lines if the rear axle only has one line. I looked at mine when I changed brake fluid and that has been a few months ago and I have forgotten.
