The four trucks that I have seen in person with lts all of them different manufacturers had no problems and all followed the same route my dynatechs are kinda close to the frame rails and so are the pacesetters I wouldnt be hesitant at all to buy a set to put on there. If they clear as easily as moregrips did then I would go for it. Think about they can only make a set of lts run a certain way all of them have to follow the same path.

Ya gotta remember that Grippy has an HD....the frame is ALOT taller than a 2wd 1/2 ton truck frame so he's gonna have alot more room under there to fit things

I thought it was the body that was taller. I know it basically has a body lift on it from the factory thus the tall bumper cap and being able to fit 1" to 2" taller tires on it compared to a similar 1/2 truck.

The frame on the HD is different.

I think the headers will fit fine. The only difference Ive been able to tell about any of the 99-02 and 02 up headers is the provision for the EGR. I dunno for sure, but I would think they would fit fine.

I thought you had Pacesetters though?? Why the change? Just currious.

Im not too sure these are gonna hold up to a Kansas winter. I do NOT want to have to worry about the headers rusting after I put them on. At least with the stainless all you really have to worry about is watching the header bolts. And no I wont use any Stage 8's.

Man, now I'm really feeling the pressure to try these things out...gotta get a free Saturday and bolt them up to the 5.3 to try and help answer some questions for folks. After I found a bunch of metal on my drain plug, I was thinking of trying to get my 6.0 together quickly and cheaply and doing the SW's at the same time, but the darn truck keeps on running, oil pressure is great, just keeps ticking and tapping like always. (the metal was thin and flaky, like bearing material....wtf?) I might just go for it with the SW's so we all know, and if the 5.3 decides to break, at least the bolts will all be new and fresh to remove anyway.

BTW, I went with the Stage8's...kinda another reason I was waiting to do the headers with the 6.0 (don't want to go through the hassle of them twice). I no longer have my original exhaust manifold bolts, and the bolts from my Gibson shorties are about 5 years old and look like poop...I'm praying they all come out in one piece if I'm gonna be doing this install on my current mill.
