Default Starter grounded out....

We're finalizing the 6.0l install and everytime we hook up the battery, the starter wants to engage. We've pulled the started and it is well clear of the headers and heat shields. What else could could cause a short, engaging the starter? Well, back to the problem at hand. Hope somebody here can pull my head out my ***.

Pull the wires off of the starter and "start" over. Sounds like they are hooked up wrong.

Yeah, I had to crawl under there. That little keeper tab on the wire to the battery was touching the solenoid. Well, if that's the only problem I'll run into, I think we'll be ingood shape.

Thanks Brian!

Everything looks good except for that darn brake booster line from the intake. Please refer to my other post.

I'll be sure to get pics. She sure is purty in there!
