Anybody ever have or hear of an issue where the starter engages with just 1 click forward of the key and won't stop until you click the key off?

I'm having this issue right now... and it's frustrating the hell out of me.
Now the purple starter wire is just cut and spliced in a button to start the vehicle without having the starter staying engaged and constantly running...

 

This should have a new thread made, but you probably need a new electrical half of the keyswitch.

 

I put the big starter wire on the wrong way once... there is an indexing prong on it for a reason LOL!!!

 

I was at the track one night my truck did the exact same no idea what caused it tried to start it to stage up but had to abort. I pull the starter relay. Got it loaded up. Let it set over night never had it do it again
