With all due respect, go f*** yourself. If you're as blatantly retarded in person as you are on the net, then I'm sure a smart business man could tell it.

You say you handle yourself well. Are you sure? I find that hard to believe. You think your half-baked ideas you post on the net are good also. Yet every one you've posted gets laughed at and gets turned into a funny picture thread and eventually gets locked because its so out of control retarded.

Props to you for wanting to do your own thing sometimes and thinking out of the box, but DAMN. Refine your thoughts a little before posting them in the public eye. We've all thought about bangin the fat chick down the street but we don't run and tell our buddies about it. Get what I'm sayin?

I've done it to, I'd rather loose a sale then deal with the bs you know is coming from them. Gotta love the people who get stuff towed in not running and when you get it running you get the "it didn't do that before". Back to the original point f the thread. I paid 275 for 2 tailpipes to be made and installed I supplied the muffler and tips. There's people that will stick it in your *** just because but at the end of the day it's a business not a charity. negitations are **** do you go to McDonald's and get a number 2 and say your only going to pay 2.50? Nope. Do you take your own steak to a restaurant and get em to cook it? Nope. Find another shop and get a quote from them every shop has different overhead costs and have to base everything off their overhead. My shops labor rate is 90-100 an hr (depending on what the job is) and parts are at least 40%. My neighbor is 75 an hr and 20-30%. When your dealing with lower over head it's gonna be cheaper. Shop around a bit before you cry about it.

Just gonna throw one thing in here when pricing the job...

because you can buy a pipe for 40 bucks dont mean they will charge that...

markup the pipe to around 65-70 bucks then add tax so 75 in parts. plus a reasonable three hours labor at 70 an hr which is normal... there you have $300 quote with no hangers or anything extra. figure any bolt you take oit will rust and every hanger will break... gonna be a lot of time. seems reasonable for a business to me...

If I can buy it for $40 localy and I don't get a discount from the place I bought it from the pay $20-$30. Double that to no more then $60 and you are still crazy.

Shops are open to make money, if you don't like it....go to the next shop or start doing your own work. Simple as that.

I realize this. But there is a fair price and a ridiculous price. There is no way you can possibly justify especially the $350 you just can't legitimately explain it. Not for aluminized steel 3" pipe. Now the $250 may be the going rate in this area but it is still well over priced by any stretch of the imagination. We aren't event talking mandrel bent.

Obviously I didn't like the price so I went down the road. I was event nice to the guy who quoted me $350. I simply told him I would have to hold off and thanked him for his time.

Ok, let's put it this way then. Unless you PAID the ridiculous price shut up already, you are nagging like a girl now.

Well three hours at a very reasonable price of 70 per hr already makes 210. i would say 250 is fair by far

Not trying to sound like a girl, just responding to other people posts.

The issue with the $250 is that there is no way it is 3 hours worth of labor. If we get crazy and call it 5 bends and 30 min of welding you are telling me it takes almost 30 min per bend? This is why I am complaining from the start.

Again I am over it but just trying to respond to others. if $250 is the best price localy I can get then it looks like I am going the route I am, the pipe is sitting in the shop, the bends should be here before the end of the week.
