Replace the PCV valve. Maybe run a can of Techron in the fuel tank too. It helped a bit for mine. You may also consider replacing the EGR Valve.

PCV is the new fixed orifice. Im running Amoco/BP 92 and I have been for a long while. I have no clue what the problem might be.

I see this quite a bit when a truck or car comes into the shop, I update gm's calibration (flashing the pcm) and that usually takes care of it.

This will probably mess up your edit , so instead you may want to find a new cal with the same segment and load that into your pcm.

later,

allen

Did you remove your EGR system (or alter the pipes)?

Your best bet is to get a PCM from a newer truck than your 99 model. The 99s are horrible about knock, ping, and sluggish performance. You'll find that even with doing everything in Edit, the 99 tunes aren't as good as newer ones. But like Allen said, that may mess with your LS1 Edit locked cable.

From what I recall, Jared's got a '01 spark table in there (no advance) and has the resistors soldered into the knock sensors.

Do knock sensors go bad?

You might want to check the settings on your edit programm and make sure that you didn't advance your timing too far.
