Default Still some good people in the world!

I didnt know where to post this but it was a good experience, me and wifey lost our jobs long story so well my son has been the one filling up since hes the one working now and my last paycheck has to go for the housepayment. So i go to a friends how so my son always puts 25$ of gas everyweek so it stays arond the half mark so this buddy of mine asks for me to let him borrow my keys so he can move it out of his way, (im parked behind his aztek in his garage) so he goes out and leaves his cellphone inside all of a sudden he leaves with the car he says his buying 3 cokes, so i said sure take the truck, well he comes back we eat when i go to leave the tank is full i was like a hell a problem, so i said he musta had filled up the rest.

Any of you guys have any stories to share? i did this on his grand am once i borrowed it and his wife had lost her job so the tank was on E so i just filled her up, i guess what you do for someone might come back to you eventually.

I try to do that if I borrow someone's car....if they are nice enough to lend it to me, I better be nice enough to fill it up for them.

Sorry to hear that ya'll lost your jobs. I'm in the same boat. My wife and I couldn't do truck driving anymore due to her pregnancy, but we can't find decent jobs here in our small town. A while back, when we were about at rock bottom, an elderly neighbor bought us groceries with his food stamps so I could use my money for other things like gas and the rent. That was really nice of him. Hopefully when I get back on my feet, I can go and help him out.

I've always helped friends when they least expected it... I had a friend that got stuck in jail for a year (long story), he called one night and told me he was getting out. His parents wouldn't help him and he had no where to go... as luck would have it my roommate was moving out 15 days before his release, I told him to move in with me and stay until he got his feet firmly on the ground - no charge (I was paying rent already on a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath apartment anyway, he just cost me a little groceries). Two months later he started paying rent. He never went back to drinking or drugs that got him in trouble in the first place and he now has his own business and lives with a cool girlfriend. I'll never forget the day when I met him at the bus station and gave him my keys and told him go "home" and welcome to the new "you"

I'm not wealthy - but I'm fortunate to have what I have and I always help those that make the effort to help themselves

The thing i found out was he filled with 89 octane wich is like 2.34$ i always tell him how i fill with it to get no ping from the descreened maf wich in benefit gets me a couple more mpg and more SOTP feel. We felt bad too that we lost our jobs 6 years working there and being 1 out of 5 fulltimers well there gonna miss me since no one can do produce for them (i was a produce guy getting paid 14$ an H) they are gonna have to get at least 3 new part timers to cover for me as i did 54 h and the part timers get 20 max. and thats gonna cost 21 an $ instead of 14 that they payed me, same for wife but she did something else putting things on shelfs she was also a fulltime but 1300 a week is gonna be hard to find again, oh well guess i have to get at least 2 jobs now. For my house loan is at 3200 a month and car is at 800 a month also.

One of my buddies lost his job last year so I took him to a strip club and bought him a lapdance. Hopefully that one will come back to me...........
