They are advertised as 1-7/8" primaries, but they are actually 1-5/8", which is better for low end torque on a basically stock 5.3. All stainless steel construction, they will not rust over time like the pacesetters will.

Basically, they are cheap knockoffs ($300) of the old style OBX headers, but the fitment is excellent.

read this thread, it is pure gold

If they are advertised as 1 7/8ths and aren't, what makes you think they didn't just use some **** quality stainless steel?

Sorry, I'll never buy any knock off china brand bullshit.

I think you are missing the point. Yes, they are made out of some shady chinease pot metal. But for the price, they get the job done and are a cheap alternative to the higher priced units.

I fail to see how these are any crappier than the $550 dollar LPP headers made in china as well.

There isn't an exact off the shelf grind with the specs I listed, it was a quick suggestion of where i think you should stay around versus a higher-end focused cam like the 226/226 that was brought up.

You haven't done any headwork on what I assume are 862 heads, so valve size is stock, runner volume is stock, stock intake, so I really don't think you'd see much gains from spinning the engine too high, so you could keep intake duration down.

A couple off the top of my head that you can look at are:

Mild:

http://www.compperformancegroupstore...ry_Code=XFIRPM

Bit more aggressive

Old standards that work well:
TR220-112 (Fifth one down from the top):

TSP220-112

I really like these two on paper for small displacement LSx engine:

looks like I'm gonna buy a vette servo for the tranny, read it was super easy to install....also read its a good idea to do it when the exhaust is out, and I'll be pulling mine for the LT's in a few weeks.....

I went with the texas speed 220 on a 110lsa, chops like hell and runs much stronger. Im still waiting to get my stall. I already rebuilt the tranny with some good stuff thou. If u really want a nasty sounding idle go with a 111-109 lsa
