YES....that is what MOST of the aftermarket P&P heads ARE, just a stock head that has been Stage II P&P'd. Expect to pay ~$750 for a good Stage II P&P and 5-angle valve job with disassembly and reassembly

Yes, I agree with yelo. Try looking on ebay, or keep a eye open in the classified section, sometimes you can get a set already done for less than you can get yours done at a machinist.

does anyone know about how much time you'll knock off the 1/4 with a set of heads on a 5.3??? do ya'll think I can achieve a 13.0-13.2 with a set of heads on my truck.... I ran a 13.7, and that was with the converter not tuned, and I got a set of LT's coming in anyday now... so do ya'll think that with LT's and heads will bring me down that low on my et??? plus I havent taken my tonneau cover off yet, which I believe is good for another .1-.2?? I'll be happy with a 13.0-13.2 N/A in my 5.3.... what do ya'll think...

I'm not sure about the change in ET, but one of our customers (BBT) made 18rwhp with some mild port work and some larger valves on his 5.3l engine. Here's the thread he posted on the results WCCH Stage 1 heads dyno results
Also, we're finishing up some final details and will have some test results soon on a CNC ported Edelbrock head geared for the 4.8l and 5.3l engines. It's going to be a VERY nice head when finished, not to mention the only aftermarket head built specifically for the smaller bore engines. It will offer a nice power increase for both NA and blown applications. I'll post more when I have the results in my hands.
Good luck,
Richard

The heads will work with the cam and headers too, making even more power. While you have them off, Id shave them .20-.30 also. I have a set, but one cc needs a little work done, and a couple of new valves. I noticed a big differenc just driving around, but unsure of actual et gain. I was guaranteed by the guy who hooked me up with them I would cut .20 off my et's though
