stock muffler?
I have a 40 series flo on my truck right now. with the dynatech supermaxx system and I am not a fan of this setup. I was thinking about putting my stock muffler back on. does anyone have this setup? or heard about it. I would like to know how the sound is one them. while at crusing and WOT

I may be able to help with your question. I have ARH headers with cats and "Y" pipe bolted to the stock 3 1/2" exhaust. It also has a resonator behind the rear axle. With this setup, it has a noticable bark when started cold. Deep throaty sound cruising through town and light acceleration. While accelerating briskly, such as on ramps to the freeway, it can be loud as hell. Again, yes it is the stock cat back exhaust. At highway speeds, there is a slight rumble in the cab, but barely noticable. To me, when accelerating, it sounds just like an 04 ZO6 with titanium mufflers. When you floor it, it is nearly too loud and could attract unwanted attention. All my hot rod friends love the way it sounds and can't believe the muffler is stock. My wife thinks I have a mental flaw. Hope this helps!

the 40 series is pretty loud isn't it?
If you put the stock muffler back on, then it will sound like you have a stock muffler. The headers don't change the sound volume that much, but your muffler does.
BTW - I run the supermaxx with the 50 series and I'm plenty happy with that. The 40 was too much for me - vibrated everything in the cab with way too much interior resonance.

if you want it to be quiet, just put a long 22 inch case Hooker or Magnaflow on it. you can get a real good deal on a Hooler Aerochamber on ebay right now. i bought me 2, sold as a pair, for 90.08 shipped. but they also have 1 available with a center inlet and offset outlet for alot lless. hope this helps..... call me if any ?s, rob (956) 802-7700

sound clip
Here is a clip of the truck with all mods in the sig. Its a little longer than necessary, shows a cold start, comes to a warm idle around the end of the 2nd min, and then at the end, I am in the truck, with the door closed, can barely hear it. I will get another vid of me driving a little later.

Got two more uploading now... first is normal driving with the window open.

The second is a 0 - 90 run from a light at about 75% throttle.

Hope this helps your exhaust questions.
