Default Stock muffler flow question.....

The Tahoe, Burban, Yukon, HD's, and Silvy SS all have the same muffler. My question is how effecient is this thing as far as flow and holding back power? The Yukon is going to stay mostly stock. I'm only looking for the best milage and performance under 3500rpms. I have an extra K&N FIPK but I think they suck nothing but nasty hot air so at most I will probibly cut the stock box and drop in a K&N. With HPT I think I can squeze the fuel below 2500rpms and get more milage. With just over 20mpg now at somewhat slow speeds I would like to see at least 22mpg at 70mph.

Does anyone think the stock exhaust is holding back the engine at cruising rpm?

I know the guy next door to my buddy on his 03 SSS gained a little over a mpg by running true duals the rest of the way off the stock piping instead of going down into the muffler. I think it was an 03 Im not sure though. I gained almost 2mpg from my true dual setup alot of that was from getting rid of the cats I think since it had 125K on it then. Also on my moms tahoe she got almsot a mpg better with the magnaflow she ahs on hers.

Any chance you know the PN for the big strait through magnaflow? I thought about getting it because its not much louder than stock but flows alot more.

I don't know if you know this but Magnaflow makes a 3 chambered muffler that won't be much louder than stock and flow more, you might want to look into one. I had no clue them made them until the sent me one on accident, I took it back and got a Hooker just a couple of weeks ago so I don't have it to take pics or anything. If you need any links or info on it just PM me.
