stock spring locks?

Default stock spring locks?

need to know if i can use stock locks and retainers with silver comp 918 springs?

they came with titanium retainers but i cant get the stock locks to work with them.

any help is apreciated. thanks

Alright guys upon further research found out i have tooled steel retainers.

I was using the cheapo spring compressor that you turn on the top and it hooks on each side. I think maybe the spring wasnt sitting center so i could only get one lock in.

Gonna try again later with the big spring compressor that you use when the heads are off.

Yes you can use the stock locks.

they should fit fine with the tooled retainers with my 918s? shouldnt they? cause i couldnt get them in with the tooled retainers. i think i just had a bad compressor

See if they fit without any spring. Are they Comp retainers? I doubt they would change them so you need a different size/angle lock. But you never know these days I guess...

all of the stock stuff will work with 918 springs. a good compressor makes life better

yea i think they crappy compressor didnt help. im gonna try a better one this time and go again.

I used a crane one, but I think someone on ls1tech sells a valve spring compressor tool that is a decent design.
