If the 4L65E (and the Tcase) is taking that much power, thats very good news.

I know Ive left a lot of power on the table with my tuning and fuel issues but that will change soon with the new pump, roller rockers, and long tubes about to go on. And then really dial it in with a wideband.
Honestly, I didnt feel a difference at all with the fans, I felt a difference when I had them on my 2000 but didnt feel it on this truck.
The blow off valve didnt give me any performance, but it does make a lot of noise. It scares the **** out of people when they hear this loud blow off valve coming from this big truck.
The 4L80 conversion will take a little bit of work, but it shouldnt be too bad. Someone is gonna have to make either a custom output shaft for the trans or a custom input shaft for the t-case. I wouldnt mind doing something like that when it comes time for me to do my trans.

just thought you might want to know this. my father & i just bought a couple of stall convertors from tci here in bossier & I had them install both of them. my father has an 03 ss lq9 with a p1sc @10psi, comp ls1 xr265hr-14 212/218@.05 with .522/.529., jba headers & 3inch exhast with ed write programming & tci 5x 3000 stall. anyway they told us that they make an adapter for the 4l80e install. we did not get the specifics because i am hoping the 4l65e holds up a little better than my 4l60e (8100 miles 2/4 band burnt)(thank god i work at a chevy dealership). I was dissipointed that his 4l65e had the same servos as the 4l60e. when you said that you are leaving alot on the table with programming how much? we had ed write in oklahoma do ours & i was thinking of getting ls1 edit but for the money is it worth it?

I dont know how much my tuning is holding me back, but it feels like a considerable amount.
If you have a custom tune done, you should be pretty close to where you need to be at. LS1 edit is great and if you plan on doing more mods then its probably worth buying. But the only way to see if you can try to squeeze more power out with the tune would be to hook up a scanner and a wideband if possible and log some data to see where you are at.
