Re: Strengthening the 4l60E?
i am 99% sure the 1500HD is nothing more than a 2500 so dont asume it will drop right it because the 1500hd has it.
SOMEONE needs to toss a 4l80e in their truck and just plug it into the 4l60e harness and see what happens, also if you go built on the 4l80e you will probably be geting rid of the computer controled line presure stuff so maybe then the 1500 computer could control it. who knows, lots of fussy info out there on the subject, if you find some tranny specs the 4l80e is clearly larger, it apears to sit higher and the pan is lower and i think it is longer and the cross member suport it farther back. probably need a larger yolk too but that is just a guess too.

I bet the only thing that will happen is that the shift points will be off. The mounting point on the crossmember goes back but I'd assume still in the same area.

Re: Strengthening the 4l60E?
What vehicles use a 6.0L HO w/ a 4L65E? Would that be a Denali and/or Escalade?

Re: Strengthening the 4l60E?
The Silverado SS has the LQ9 HO 6.0 and the 4L65E. So does the Escalade. The Denali does not have the LQ9 HO 6.0 and I am not sure which tranny
My Brothers 50k 03 yukon denali doens't even have the 345 lq9.

I believe it also has the standard 4l60e.
