Default Stripped intake manifold mounting hole

Its the hole thats all the way in the back and to the left from the throttle body. Am I fucked or should i leave it empty or enlargen it and retap it?

you can always try to retap the hole usually works well

Ya I already did that. Originally, when I mocked it up I torqued down the bolts and that one broke. I had to drill and tap it out and in the end there was few threads. When I finally bolted the intake down for the final time just now, those threads didn't hold, so now i don't no what to do.

I'd put a heli-coil in it.

+1, heli-coils are the way to go especially when working with aluminum.

Yeah man, these guys are right on with the Heli-Coil.....that's a lifesaver! You can pick up a pack at damn near any auto parts store. You simply use the Heli_coil with your drill and it basically re-taps the hole while inserting a new thread coil.

yea seems to work well I noticed a lot a rebuilt parts use heli coils

Are u sure it will hold up? I know it's only being torqued down to 7 ft lbs, but it can't break.
