Talking STS kit just ordered

I just ordered my STS turbo kit with a T67 and .96 housing (750hp turbo) from www.jlturbo.com. I got a great deal for the kit from Jesse at JLturbo (he's da man). 3600 for the kit and 365 for the turbo. If you're thinking about purchasing the STS kit or are interested contact JL, and they'll be sure to hook you up. Anyway, I hope to see the kit in a week or so. It's boost time baby!

We'll have to meet up sometime and race at Sac raceway. Oh yea, how much did ATP charge to tune your rig? Thanks

Congrats, Join the club. You'll be happy with it. I put mine on this past weekend and it kicks ***. Just got my pcm yesterday from allen and man it woke this turbo up. Allens the man. I got it set for 5lbs. and thats plenty enough power for now. It's not a race truck (well sometime it is) its a tow truck. I'm going to find out how it tows this weekend.

Thanks. I'm hoping Allen can tune mine safely, so I don't have to spend $450 on a dyno tune right away. I think he's already tuned a t67 SS, so maybe he can tune mine as well.

I had Rick at Synergy tune it at ATP for me so I don't remember what the exact charge was. I think it was around $170 though for a few hours on the dyno.

How much boost you plan on running? And did you do any Alky or a custom intercooler?

That's not bad at all, price wise. I'm planning to run at most 14-15psi. Anymore than that and I think the risk of damaging the stock bottom end is pretty likely. The motor is basically a brand new factory lq4 with ARP headstuds and cam/valvesprings/pushrods. Rick adviced me against going with rod bolts. He said that I'll have to resize the rods, but I know several people who haven't done so who aren't having problems...so I'm not really sure what to think. I'll be using Alky or SMC meth injection, but might incorporate a intercooler down the road like you're doing. When are you getting your truck back? Can't wait to hear how it performs!

I should have it back Sunday if Rick gets down to ATP and retunes it by Friday. I'm gonna go easy on the boost for a bit so I can actually enjoy the truck for a little bit before I go trying to figure out how to break something. As you know I'm still on a 4L60E so I know that wont last long. LOL

teh GT67 is a great turbo for the 6.0L. It hits full boost at around 3k rpm and pulls through the whole power band.

Plus, it sounds like a 737

Did you ever get a dyno sheet Berserker?

I saw that you were getting a kit, well you and Benkey and I waqs curious what you guys would put out since you guys have the turbo I had ordered after I tired out the GT35 and felt it was too small. I'm very interested to see a dyno sheet on this bigger unit.
