Default stupid question

whats the stock exhaust size on 5.3 tahoes? I want to change the factory muffler with a different one, but i'm not sure what size inlet to get

i would say 2.5 cuz thats what my 5.3 silverado was, so i dont think it would be different. if so someone please correct me .

i've read that it was 2.75 but i can't find any mufflers with a 2.75 inlet. or would i need one with a bigger inlet so i can clamp it on?

when i did mine i was told it was a 2.75 so i got a 3" muffler. It wasnt right. I had to do alot of filling with the welder to close the gap. Just get a 2.5 and if it has to be a little bigger use a exhast pipe expander.
