Default Supercharged daily driver's......

Is there a recommended gear ratio. I've heard someone talk about 3.90 or 4.10 would be too much gear for a blown street machine? How true is this and why?

Ditto. Probably be quicker 1/4 mile obviously with 3.90 or 4.10's. I do quite a bit of interstate driving and the 3.73's work well there. Only turning about 1950 rpm @ 70 mph.

I have 4.10's, I put them in though when i was running the 4.8. I think with the 6.0 I would like 3.73's alot better.

I had 3.73's and went to 4.10's. Wish I had my 3.73's back.

There certainly is more off the line torque with the 4.10's, but that is the only place they shine, IMO. Since the gears are shorter, there is less gear to play with. I liked the way my truck kicked down to 3rd or 2nd from 4th a lot better with the 3.73's. There is actually less power when doing this with the 4.10's. The 3.73's are a lot better freeway gear than the 4.10's. If all I did was run around town, I'm sure I'd like the 4.10's better.

Not to mention the gas mileage is worse by 2-4 mpg with the 4.10's.
