I was also considering 4.10, as my friend would pretty much install his old ones in my truck for free, but I have plenty of low end, and can spin my 305 dr's with ease, what I lack is top end, and it sounds like 4.10's wont help much there....I also do 90% freeway driving.

I love my 3.90s, but I think Ill like them even more when I get a lil taller tire. For those guys with the lowered short beds I think 3.73s would be plenty. I dont think you lose any top end because it puts you in higher rpm,s I think it can give you more top end.

Slowride. You'll be fine with 4.10. That tire is about the same as a 265/75-16 which is what the Z-71's come with, I have 3.73's in my Z, and wish I had the 4.10. I plan to get some 20's and run that same size tire.
12 second. Todd, Just leave your 3.90's in there. how much do you drive on I-10 anyway? If you had front 3.90's too I'd swap.

Seems like a lot of confusing stuff here. I went from 3.73's to 4.10's and the truck accelerates faster, period. You will not lose top end power. Maybe some top speed if you have enough engine to tach out OD, but you guys shouldn't be trying to go that fast anyway, these are trucks.. HE HE. Some people think that they have lost power because their truck won't downshift into 2nd anymore at a certain speed. Yes, it will lower your shiftpoints but you will reach your powerband faster and more often getting to the same mph with lower gears. The result is lower ET. Now all that being said if I had an automatic and I drove the truck daily I would stick with the 3.73.
