Re: SUPERCHARGER + NITROUS? Has anyone mixed the two?
good question, anyone?
i am about ready to order some water injection and try some extra boost but really have to ask myself if just keeping the boost reasonable and hiting it with a 50shot or so wouldn't be better.
another good thing about adding a NX kit would be if the engine was ever beefed up(forged pistons and rod bolts) it would be a breeze to up the shot and really go for some big power. imiagine a strengthend 6.0 with 6-7psi and a 100shot , good chance at 11's with that combo.

I guy over on ls1.com did it awhile ago, but I can't find the thread since they deleted all of the history I think he was running a 50 wet shot, not completely sure though. I do remember he was running 13.00 with 9psi and water injection. Then he was running 13.3 with 6psi and the shot of N20. I think he was trapping more mph with the 6psi/N20 combo than with the 9psi/H20 combo.
Too bad I can't find it.

hey parish, what water kit are you going to use?
how about just a 6.7 with about 8 or so pounds of boost?

looks like the smc kit is the best http://www.geocities.com/rad87gn/tech/SteveCkit.html
i have tried 7psi with pump gas and 9 psi with good gas, see below for results, not exactly sure how much farther the water injection might take me but i would expect to be able to run 9psi on pump gas from what i read and then maybe 11-12 with good gas and water injection. these are my short term plans but i have to wonder if just going with a nx kit wouldn't be a better plan.

Re: SUPERCHARGER + NITROUS? Has anyone mixed the two?
hey parish, you aren't intercooled are you? i have an intercooled ATI and have run close to 10# on 93 pump gas with no detonation. yea, surprised me too. i then proceded to push the envelope a bit and went up to 13#. yikes that thing hauled ***!! for awhile, then it blew a hole in my #7 piston. oops. little too much. if you could find a way to intercool that screw drive, you would be kickin'! look at a lightning for ideas. NO2 sounds like your best bet. it would give you the best of both worlds, cooler air for less detonation=more timing=more power=more fun plus the regular NO2 advantage. even a true 50 shot would probably make a big difference.

Re: SUPERCHARGER + NITROUS? Has anyone mixed the two?
I hear they've got a kit for the lightnings that puts a 100 shot on top the blower and I hear it works well but for how long. Nos is a liquid blower with similiar requirements and results. I just run nos and I like it.
My opinion: nos on top a blower would make it hit harder ouy of the hole.

no idea where i will mount it. intercooler really isn't an option either. with a whipple there is pleanty of torque out of the hole, i probably wouldn't spray untill it got into 2nd.
hmm time to start a new post water injection or n20
