lol, yeah i have thought of that but i wanted to keep beating them. i didn't want to just beat them and then leave and go refill the bottle. plus i want my engine to last a long time. i have had friends that had NOS and their engines didn't last too long. so i figured that the supercharger would be a better bet. so far i am reading some good replies. i'll probably end up getting the Radix, but i am a little worried about the kit with the problems that FUN GUY had, even though it sounds like they fixed the problems.

one question about the RADIX, is everyone getting around 400rwhp? i am worried that since i have a '99 that i may not push that much HP's. i don't want to run the risk of blowing my engine or anything but i just want close if not at 400rwhp, i want my cake and eat it too. now i may have read it wrong but are people getting that much at the wheels or the crank? thanks again for all the helpful answers.

actually, these engines have proven to run pretti reliable on n2o. but ya if u dont wanna fill the bottle every now and then, screw it. anyway, u shouldnt have a problem running 400hp with the right pulley etc.

btw, what r ur mods now?

i have : pulley, hpp III, k&n intake, mass air meter, edlebrock headers, flowmaster, 160 thermostat, msd spark plug wires and i think that is about it. my headers helped out a lot contrary to what most people will say. edlebrock claims that these are long tube but they aren't, more like mid-length. anyways before i get a supercharger i will get the ASM headers w/ a jet-hot coating. i ran a 14.9 w/ all this but i had wheel hop too and it was really cold out at HRP. my main goal is to just beat a lightning, i don't know what will happen after that.

Your goal is too beat a L with or with out boost? It can be done both ways: http://www.futralmotorsports.com/jer...rler_video.htm

well i would rather have boost. i think it would be bad *** to have a supercharger regardless of beating a L or not. of course i would rather beat one, actually there are several up here in lubbock that i would like to beat, but i'm sure i'll find a lot in the Friendswood (south houston) area.

actually i think my first mod is going to be the Yank 3000 tq converter. will that be a good option to go with the supercharger or is that too much stall?

3000 stall would be nice with the supercharger! With added boost and some bolt ons you will be beating L's left and right

You'll have to remove a few of your mods (pulley and HPP3) to run the blower. This should give you about 220-225 before the install. The RADIX with the stock pulley will get you into the 360 rear wheel horsepower range. Dropping down a few sizes with the blower pulley can get you close to 400 at the tires.

I'd back out the Hypertech's Power Tuning if you decide to go the nitrous route instead. It pretty much depends on if you want the major horsepower gain once in awhile or all of the time.

Don't have that info from this computer. Ed Wright @ Fast Chips took care of that.
