Default Surging?

Watch the vids...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-FDq0pK7xU

This one was taken earlier today w/ the stock pcm in
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ASpRwpDJjo

What exactly could be causing this? Happens while i'm cruising around (after about 30 mins or so)... or after I go down a hill (the rpms will stay at 26-2800 rpms until I let off the gas after going down a hill)

I've read that it could be DFCO, fuel filter, fuel pump, vac leak... all the way to a sticky converter lockout valve.... blah.

Its annoying. I want it fixed.

I sent my tune off to get looked at (before hand...we checked the tcc settings on the tune that charlie had stored...and those are fine).

That said, it still does this with the stock pcm. It actually is happening daily now. Whereas with the tune in... it would be more like once a week or so.

Also, took it in to get scanned... nothing came up other than a p0449 code. Which i've known about for awhile...

So my question is...has anyone had this issue? And if so, what the hell is it!?

Oh, also...whenever I have the cruise control on...it goes crazy. Constant intervals of up & down...

Also noticed a HUGE decrease in fuel mileage this morning...

Took my usual 25 mile trip to work.... and the "range" on the dash ended up at 145.

It started at 202. -_-

Any way for you to scan it using EFI or HPT ?? If so i can check your scan vrs the tune for you and give you a better idea!! Makes it a lot easier when you can scan it and see what is going on. Might be something as simple as an unsmoothed spark timing cell... where the Manifold Gram/cyl say maybe 26* in one cell and the cell directly next to it might say something like 30* when it fluctuates between these two cells it can cause that issue.... not saying this is the problem but scanning software would really help

Negative... I personally dont have a way to scan it..

That being said, my issue is still around... so it wasn't spark plugs.

Guess its time to hit up a tranny shop..and have them look at things like the tcc solenoid, etc...

I dont think its a trans ting honestly...if it was your TCC it would feel like an actual shift in gears (just like how it feels from 1st - 2nd etc). I think you should start looking into that code you have. With the EVAP code its basically telling you that you have a leak in the gas tank... could be possible that the pressure surge is coming from the fuel pump since the gas tank is not pressurized properly!!! Start there before you make this expensive for no reason. Do you happen to know why the EVAP code is on?
