Sounds good to me. So my plan is to turbo the 4.8 and I am working on getting the exhaust pieces in the next month. Figured I would first get headers ( STAINLESS RACING MANIFOLD SHORTY HEADER/EXHAUST YUKON XL SIERRA CHEVY SUBURBAN B | eBay ) Anyone have any thoughts on these ? Yes they are cheap, and I imagine they arent 100% stainless but that isnt a huge concern of mine. Also, what guages should I get for monitoring. I have a boosted passat that I have a wideband, boost gauge, and oil pressure (VW engines are known for pressure issues). Do I need an Exhaust temp gauge ?

I am thinking of flipping the manifold and running the crossover pipe in front of the engine. I will replace my clutch fan with an e-fan setup. Give me your feedback I only have around $300 month to put into it, so it will be a relatively slow build :'(

But pretty soon boooooost

Dont waste your money on the shorties just flip the stockers over or talk to Kyle(Kbracing). His kits include the log manifolds and all piping along with your choice of turbo and an intercooler if you choose.

The stockers flow just like those eBay ones? I assumed the ebays flowed better, no tests to prove it. If that's the case I will just flip the stockers, although I believe one is leaking but I can not figure out where. I have most of the tools needed for bending, welding, and making the exhaust pipe and such so I rather piece together my own kit.

So with say $300, what would be recommended on buying first?
