Default Swapping in 6.0/4L80e into my 99 Tahoe

My truck is 4wd, but I am going back to 2wd.

The motor and transmission were out of a 2000 Chevy 2500 Series P/U (last 8 of Vin: YZ271505

I am looking at 500-600hp with boost. Before I get to the nitty gritty. Start with the basics...

I found a few threads...but my question is fitment.

Will this Melling Hi flow Oil Pump work?

Melling 10295 - Melling Performance Oil Pumps - Application - SummitRacing.com

Should I go with an LS2 Timing Chain...single or double roller?

N Motion LS2/LS3/L76/L92 Double-Roller Timing Set

My Main goal...

For the motor, do a complete gasket replace except the heads and intake. Replace oil pump and timing chain. Then install.

4L80e (install shift kit along with new filter, fluid and pan gasket). This would be a great time to swap in a Converter. What do you guys recommend?

Also at the time of swap...E-Fans nd a radiator.

My plan is get this set up installed and running. Then from there I can start to assemble a set of heads, cam, and intake and TB. I will be keeping my Drive by Wire TB set-up. I am not a fan of anything controlled electronically.

This truck barely tows maybe 2,000lbs at most here and there. Just thought I mention that b/c a few people brought it up in build up threads. Just looking for a little nice reliable street machine. If I end with more HP down the line then planned

I have posteda few times here in the past about beefing up my L31, was just about to install my PSC-1 then I had second thoughts again...

here is what is going in.

I ordered a NEW GM Crank and Cam sensor from GM parts direct!

Now I need to pick an oil pump...I was looking at this

The pump you are linking to is a standard oil pump. If you are wanting the Melling High Volume pump, this Melling - MEL-10296 is the one you should look at.
