JSmith:
4.10's are great with a 28"+ size tire...I made the choice and don't regret it at all. There is a decrease in fuel economy but it is minor but the SOTP-o-meter will definately register the change. The 4.10's will NOT make more torque and in actuallity the will consume it, but the mecahnical advantage will net better ET and/or accelleration.
Tokez420:
Call Mark @ Andy's Auto Performance. He is near Orange County and his pricing is more than fair. As far as workmanship ... well he is free to work on mine anytime. Call and tell him i sent you he'll work out a package deal for gears (brand of your choice), Posi (he has eatons readily available) and labor.

Re: Switch to 4.10's?
I have oversized tires right now and I can hold 1st to 55mph, 2nd to 85mph with the stock 3.42's. In about two weeks Ill be going to 4.10's to off set the oversized tires. I think it will help out alot with the WEAK lowend power of my truck. It's nutless below 2500rpm. Now if you think the 4.10's are a bit much you can go with the 3.90's but it's more money and you cant use the HP3 to corect it. If you can wait two weeks Ill tell you my results.

Re: Switch to 4.10's?
why are 3.90s more money than a 4.10, most all of the gear sets i see out are pretty much the same price no matter what ratio you get. i've only seen one person running the 3.90 gears and it just so happens he's the fastest of us all.

Get the 4.10's
That's on my list as well. I had 3.42's and went with 3.73 when I put the Auburn in. Well, now it's time for the 4.10's.
You better slap another set of tires on back there. I think you would have some MAJOR traction issues.

what about 4.56? to much gear?? got the 3.42 as well and not sure weather to get 4.10 or 4.56. any thoughts??

2. YES, or you will be putting more miles on the truck than you actually are driving.
