Default switching my 212/218 for a 217/223 what u think..

well i know that the 212/218 has been a well proven cam for the 4x4s.. i have it and i love it.. but i just feel like my top end isnt that great so since i have a great cousin mechanic that helps me work on my truck i decided to change it to something slightly bigger.. i will be going 6.0 in the later future but this cam was given to me from a friend who was going to put it on his 5.3 and went 6.0 and bigger cam.. so what do u guys think? my current mods are in my sig.. will it help? anything more then what i have will be great..lol thanks..

I've never seen those specs before...I've seen close, such as 218/224 though. What's the lift and LSA, and who's grind is it? If Comp, what lobes? Should work well with your 3200 converter and 4.10 gears given that the rest of the specs aren't off the wall...

Sounds good, it's refreshing to see someone running something other than a Comp grind lol, glad that Lunati has been working out for you

Yea, if you think about it, the specs still aren't as wild as say a TR220 which guys run in 5.3's with 3000-3200 converters all of the time. Sounds like it should be a good combo both on the street and the track...plus, you're one of the few guys who can represent one of those cool Lunati Voodoo skull and cross-bumpstick t-shirts (coolest logo ever)

It all depends on the setup...basically, without getting too technical, an engine with a free flowing exhaust (lt's with good collectors, big pipes, cutout maybe), in comparison to the intake, can go with a single pattern cam. A longer exhaust duration holds the exhaust valve open longer to help the exhaust gasses evacuate from the cylinder...my setup requires more exhaust duration due to my small collectors and cats...well, used to be cats There's a formula and percentages are involved, but this is the quick explanation

I'm interested to see the outcome. Are you going to the track after the swap and retune? I agree that the logo for lunati is badass!
