I guess the 243s on the new 5.3s is why they do so good with the tbss intake

i am curious to see a nnbs swap to a old truck style intake see if it gains bottomend torque or gains in performance

05gmcsierra- i would do the headswap get the truck running on the stock truck intake and go to the track get a number and then go home and swap to the tbss intake then head back to the track the next week
See what the out come is...it may do ok on 799s since they flow a lil better than 706 castings

What do u mean headswap?.. truck came with 799s?.. or do u mean compare my current times to times whither the tbss intake?...I plan on doing the tbss getting it tuned and then going again to track.. I'm assuming if it's too much I will have the same outcome as u..

did not know you had 799s from the factory
get it tuned for the new cam and go get track numbers then swap to the TBSS intake,go back to the track for numbers then compare between the 2

Honestly i think it will hurt you from what i saw with my setup BUT i could be wrong.

Well I will c.. I was thinking more like getting it tuned after intake.. I already saw the truck run better on the bigger cam and its not even tuned. Idk I'm just really confused.. seen too many ppl gain HP on the tbss that I just don't c how it can hurt me!... or I might just leave it all alone.. truck ran great with new cam.. just gonna get it tuned and call it a day. Only other thing I might do it run 28" tires at trackd to c if I gain any performance

yes you are correct everybody claims a gain and there is even a dyno sheet showing 15 or 20hp
BUT the dyno was done on a stock 6.0 which has the ability to flow more air

All i am saying is it was a $450 mistake for me!
Try it see how it works out for you,you may have better luck!
